Like Chocolate.... !!!!

Here's a Birthday card using one of my favourite colour combos Pink and Brown! I've used some of my new Coredination Card and this is from the 'Chocolate Box' Collection.... ooh and note.. my card is not square!!! LOL I fancied a change... variety is the spice of life and all that....

The fab image is Lola Rose - Cupcakes from Pink Petticoat. Isn't she gorgeous!! It's quite a simple layout.  I've just added a Nellie Snellen Multie Frame Die - Borders 2 and Embosslits Heart - Lace.  I've embossed the bottom of the card with Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Mesh. It looks a bit like Aero Chocolate Bar doesn't it... Mmmm!! LOL

When you rub the embossing on the heart with sandpaper... the core colour of pink shows through....love it!! Sentiment was made on computer.

I've coloured the wonderful Lola Rose with Promarkers:-
Skin: Putty, Sunkissed Pink
Dress etc. : Antique Pink, Blossom, Tan, Cocoa
Cherry: Crimson
Cake Icing: Blossom and Star Dust Stickles

I would like to enter the following Challenges:-

Well I think I have finally shaken off that horrid cold... it seemed to go on forever... but don't think the weather has helped... had to go out on Monday to dentist and it was awful.... bitterly cold, driving rain and gales... was glad to get home to a nice cup of tea and teacake!! Roll on Spring!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Russia Album... I'm so glad that you loved it too! I haven't been to Russia but would really love to go there one day... I'm not sure that I will ever manage it though with my pain levels... unless I went on a cruise ship maybe... it could stop off at St Petersburg... and if it could then take me on to Cairo ... well then that would be just perfect... as I would love to see the Pyramids of Giza too!!! I would probably just about make it to the McDonalds Restaurant and see them in the distance... ah Egypt is not how it used to be... I would have loved to have been one of those Victorian Ladies who travelled to distant lands.... no commercialisation back then.... (sigh!)
Thanks for all your wonderful comments!
Don't forget to enter my Candy draw if you haven't already...
Love and hugs

Well aren't you the rebel!! Fancy pushing the boat out and making an 'OBLONG' card!! lol Lovely Sue, you crack me up!
I love your card, that image is to die for!! Such fun and in my favourite colour combo too!
I went to Egypt once, I must be the olny person who went and didn't see the the pyramids! Michael didn't want to go on the trip as it was going to take 6 hours in a truck and it was really hot, now of course I regret not going as I didn't really like Egypt and won't be going back!
Take Care Hunny

This is SO sweet! Your choice of colors is perfect for the chocolate theme. I like the embossed pattern so much, I've seen it on some of your other cards too, so I decided to get one myself - I so look forward to using it. Love the die cut embossed heart as well, and it's such a great image too!

Oh this is scrummilicious Sue - love the image and fab distressed embossing.
We went to Eygpt a couple of years ago and it was bizarre to be sitting having lunch (not In MacDonalds) with our Tour Guide and seeing the Pyramids just across the road - just didn't seem right!!!
Glad to hear the cold is finally on it's way out.
Have a fab evening

Hi Sue, what a fabulous card! Right blast from the past for me - I used to use the Lola Rose's loads when I first realised that there were companies the did digi papers and images - infact PP might have been one of my first ever digi buys!! Loved 'em but hardly ever use them now - god I'm fickle!!!

Love the colour's you've used and it's so nice to see something other than a square card. Am as guilty as anyone else of using squares all the time, really should try something else.

I'd like to travel myself, I've only ever been abroad once and that was when I was a teenager (a loooong time ago!) but hubby isn't interested - so I'm going to have to wait and see if I can get Emily interested when she grows up. Tho by then she probably won't want to go anywhere with her old mum!!

Glad to hear you are feeling better and hope you have a good weekend.

Got rid of Alan's skate ramps last weekend so well chuffed. Getting a bit of extra cash for tidying is a great incentive! Enjoy ur day, Jx
